Dogging

CPCCLDG3001A Licence to Perform Dogging

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to demonstrate competency in the application of slinging techniques, selection and inspection of lifting gear and/or the directing of the crane/ operator in the movement of the load.

Designed For

The course is designed for those who intend to work with cranes and also who may be required to dog loads with load shifting equipment. 

Expected Outcomes

This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and requires the operator to be able to:

  • Plan the job
  • Select and inspect equipment
  • Prepare site and equipment
  • Perform task
  • Shut down job and clean up

 

Entry Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and can use the English language at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk as specified in the competency standards.

On Completion

Successful completion of the assessment requirements will provide participants with a Statement of Attainment for CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging.
