Women in Civil Awards The Women in Civil Awards recognise exceptional women for their leadership and commitment to excellence within the WA civil construction industry.Since 2012, CCF WA has presented the Women in Civil Award at our annual Industry & Training Awards. This year, we are instituting four new Women in Civil Awards (three individual and one corporate). The 2025 Women in Civil Awards will be presented at the Women in Civil Lunch on Thursday, 17 July, where we'll be joined by the Honourable Simone McGurk MLA, the Minister for Women. Nominations for the Women in Civil Awards will be open in May 2025. Women in Civil Mentoring Program The Women in Civil Mentoring Program is a professionally designed and delivered development program for women Mentees in the Western Australian civil infrastructure industry who seek support, guidance and professional growth.
Mentees are paired with a highly experienced Mentor who is willing to commit time and energy to help the Mentee with their professional development. ![]() CCF WA works with leadership development organisation Modal to deliver the program, which is facilitated by Rechelle Hawkes AM, former Hockeyroos Captain and three-time Olympic gold medalist. This program assists Mentees develop skills in areas including goal setting, understanding personality styles, network building, how to identify and confront challenges, and industry understanding and confidence. Over the past few years we’ve been been hearing how the Mentoring Programs have literally been changing lives. At a recent breakfast event, one of the mentees from the program told us that such were the personal skills and confidence she gained from the mentoring program, she viewed it as a turning point in her career. The 2024 Mentoring Program is now underway, proudly sponsored by the Transport Portfolio and Kais Hire, supported by Cbus Super and SRG Global.
